Redbox and Blockbuster Express Codes Thread

Updated 5 - 2012
http://www.insideredbox.com/redbox-codes/
http://freeredboxcodes.com/free-redbox-promo-codes/

Members have had access to updated codes in the past, but lately I am not seeing any updates. So I am starting a new thread based on information on discounts etc. with www.redbox.com. Mods please update this web page if you are getting hit reimbursements. Redbox is probably our cheapest fastest way to access rentals. Since it looks like Blockbuster is leaving us soon. www.blockbusterexpress.com is going to have 10,000 kiosks by the end of this year. Jump on the free Redbox and Blockbuster Express codes right now cuz they might get scarce eventually.

http://www.coupondad.net/blog/redbox-free-rental-codes/

Here are all the latest Redbox Rental codes for FREE rentals or discounted rentals with codes!

Remember movies have to be returned by 9pm to avoid extra day rental charges.

Each code can only be used once per credit card. Some codes may be regional and not work everywhere.

Let us know what codes you find and what is working / not working!

FREE Rental Codes:
Redbox Codes:
Free Redbox Code: BREAKROOM (ongoing)

Free Rental Code: DVDONUS (ongoing)

Free Redbox Code: RENTONME (ongoing)

Free Rental Code: DVDONME (ongoing)

Free Redbox Code: WALGREENS (ongoing) – only at Walgreen’s locations

Free Rental Code: BREAKDOWN (ongoing) – only at Walgreen’s locations

Free Rental Code: REDBOXHEB (expiration unknown) – only at HEB

Free Rental Code: DVDATWEG (expiration unknown) – only at Wegman’s

Free Rental Code: DVDKROG (expiration unknown) – only at Kroger locations

Free Rental Code: DVDATKROGER (expiration unknown) – only at Kroger locations

Free Rental Code: DRIVEIN (expiration unknown) – only at Sonic locations

Free Rental Code: DVDATSONI (expiration unknown) – only at Sonic locations

Free Rental Code: DVDATWAG (expiration unknown) – only at Walgreen’s locations

Other Information:

The easiest way to rent is to reserve your movies online first at Redbox.com. Then just go to the kiosk and hit the Pick Up Online Reservation button and slide your card. Nice!

re: Unofficial Redbox DVD Rental Thread

Trevor started a thread over a year ago here that usually drops off the first page since new codes come out rarely. Now that the monday codes are issued just once a month, activity has signifacantly dropped.
You've gathered together codes that haven't been consolidated recently and that's useful. Thanks.

Yup. I am trying to make the redbox thread a sticky thread. I emailed the mods. I am pretty sure GK doesn't get hit reimbursements with redbox. Maybe the reason not to put redbox a high priority.

I was kind of on the fence about the sticky, but we'll see how it goes.

re: Unofficial Redbox DVD Rental Thread

Thanks again Pilot. I will update often. I would daily but the codes are slow it seems. What everyone can do in the meantime is set up an emailer account on www.redbox.com . I have had great success with this redbox so I am hoping you all the same. If anyone finds new codes please post. Thanks again.

Really? A "sticky" for a free code once a month? A code worth $1?

Give me a consistent deal other than redbox. We all have reasons why we hit rentals more than buying dvds. Some of us have little money so a free movie once in awhile can be a good thing. I have used 4 of the above codes. I am hoping more to come. If not, @ least this was helping for awhile. Good luck.

re: Unofficial Redbox DVD Rental Thread

Thanks for making the thread a "sticky"

I support Redbox 100%,love that they give out a free code once a month now.

I just hope in the near future they add more good movies to their boxes.:-)

Also I can't understand why people who use redbox don't get on their their email with Redbox and also redboxinsider.

I just got sent two free codes(one use) from Redbox by email.
thanks Redbox.

Pilot, can you copy my post back into the thread you closed please?

Many people don't notice stickys, and might as well keep it there for people who subscribe/bookmark it, instead of making people click to another thread.

Not sure why we needed a new thread, or to have either one stickyed. We always bumped the old one whenever anyone found a working code.

Thanks for the reminder! I rented some probably horrible DTV horror film yesterday afternoon (for the current DVDTalk Horror Challenge), and had forgotten all about it.

I better watch it and return it now.

Well, most people have more than one credit/debit card and each code can be used once per card and I've also found out that one time use VISA rebate cards (from FYE, Staples etc.) work even if they are empty (as long as they have not expired).

Re: Unofficial Redbox DVD Rental Thread

Redbox has apparently changed things up.

Today's code can not be shared.

Edit to add:

/thread

And wm lopez, just wondering, but is it supposed to be funny, asking for the code every month? I'm confused.

Well, there's thing called work. And as a person gets up in the morning and heads out the door to go to work. A person can stop by a REDBOX and get the free rental.
Pretty good idea, ah?

Re: Unofficial Redbox DVD Rental Thread

Trevor, I was nearly 100% sure you were joking...but then I just received my text code with the indication that it was one-time use and can't be shared.

I'm disappointed. Even though I have a code, I usually get 2 movies using different credit cards. Guess I could sign up using my wife's cell phone if I wanted another code bad enough.

Edit to add: And you're right on this thread. It will cease to be useful if it becomes the norm for all codes to be one time use. There would be no sense even in folks posting unused codes since lurkers and the like would pounce on them.

But we have told you countless times that there is absolutely no need to ask. We always post the code immediately upon receiving it. And yet you keep ignoring us and ask every month.

Amen to that. We should definitely NOT have a thread where people post unused codes. Those things are always supremely aggravating, with lurkers taking codes and not posting that they're gone, leading to people wasting lots of time trying used codes.

And in this case it will be even more aggravating, with people wasting time and gas driving to a redbox.

We should all continue to post any universal codes we come across of course.
