Re: halloween/scary/Horror movie deals yet?

Bought Happy Birthday To Me and Hello Mary Lou : Prom Night II this morning. My local Walmart rearranged all their DVD selection today and it looks much better. It's easier when they shelf the $5 movies instead of the bin because it's so much easier. I already own the Halloween 4 and 5 Divimax DVDs but that Double Feature is a great deal for anyone that doesn't have them yet.

It looks like they are all doing this. But my concern is, will the number of $5.00 titles be as good anymore? Will they put stuff out right away like they did with the bins? What happens when a title gets low on stock? This could be good and bad. Lets hope good.

Re: halloween/scary/Horror movie deals yet?

Got both Happy birthday to me and Tales from the Crypt/Vault of Horror

I did notice a few others for $5

Blacula/Scream Blacula Scream
Blackenstein

Blacula is a steal for that price.

For those in illinois, you can find these at crestwood and bridgeview. Crestwood didn't have many of the titles on the shelfs but the tags were there.

Re: halloween/scary/Horror movie deals yet?

I got my Happy Birthday To Me for $5, too. Add to that list of stuff on the rack all the Jaws movies at $5 a pop. The whole section was in the midst of being filled, so a lot of stuff was still in boxes. Saw tags for a few unnamed double/triple features and also one for that Gorehouse Greats collection from Millcreek.

Re: halloween/scary/Horror movie deals yet?

In the past 72 hours I have visited six different Walmarts in the South Jersey area, looking for these $5 horror titles. Every walmart I've been to has yet to put them out, which was very disapointing. I'm hoping that by the end of the week at least one of them will have some in stock and on display.

Re: halloween/scary/Horror movie deals yet?

Woo! Finally got my $5 copy of Happy Birthday To Me at Walmart.

The Walmart I went to last weekend had some of their $5 titles out but not Happy Birthday To Me. Went in today and the woman stocking the Media section was just putting them out as I got there.

Re: halloween/scary/Horror movie deals yet?

Don't think I saw this mentioned...

The horror rack at my local Wal-Mart (Flowood, MS) had all the Jaws sequels (2,3 and The Revenge) for $5 each.

I really hope one of the stores near me sets out the Blacula double feature. I still need the 2nd one and would gladly part with my copy of the first to get the double feature.

Re: halloween/scary/Horror movie deals yet?

For anyone in South Jersey, the Walmart in Cherry Hill has the $5 horror titles out. I picked up Happy Birthday To Me, Halloween H20, and Midnight Movie. MM was priced as being $7.50, but since it had a $5 sticker they had to give it to me for $5. There's also a healthy selection of random titles in the dump bin.

Re: halloween/scary/Horror movie deals yet?

For those still looking in the South Jersey area, the Berlin Walmart has the $5 horror titles out. Picked up Happy Birthday To Me and TCM Steelbook. These were on shelves in the DVD section and not in the dump bin. Also saw a Vincent Price Midnite Movies Double Feature in the dump bin, but I cannot remember the title. Hope this helps.

I don't think the bin/shelf is going away, I just think they're giving a special section to the most popular and frequently restocked $5 titles.

You may be right. I am so glad they have it set up with the $5 horror titles on shelves. I really hate digging through the dump bins.

Re: halloween/scary/Horror movie deals yet?

Looks like Best Buy is getting a lot of Dimension Films in.

Most of what they are getting in are Dimension Films Extreme titles that they haven't carried in a while or restocking existing ones, all at $14.99 tag.

I also noticed today my local BB had Hellraiser: Bloodline and Hellraiser: Hellseeker for $6.99 on the shelf, though I thought both were long OOP.

Tales of Terror

They have a few other Vincent Price double features in that sale:

The Fall of the House of Usher / The Pit and the Pendulum
The Oblong Box / Scream and Scream Again
Theater of Blood / Madhouse

You're right, it was $18 on DeepDiscount just recently; I saw it too. I already have the set, or I'd have definitely grabbed it for that price.
