I was going to announce that but both of my 5 Below stores have had those titles in stock since last Halloween. So it seamed kinda fake. LOL. Think I might pick up the Friday 13th simply because it is the OOP "Alternate R-Rated Version".

good selection. alot of the same titles from the DD sale at similar prices. Though I think B&N beats out DD if you're a member.

I almost bought a copy of that set at walmart awhile back for 13 bucks, the only thing that stopped me was when i realized that the version of seed of chucky was the theatrical and not te unrated version

I know walmart wanted $13 for it and Target doesn't carry it (well mine doesn't anyway), but was hoping some place would have it cheaper in time for Halloween. Should I get my hopes up, or just jump on it for $13?

I saw this too for $9 at Wal-mart. Then I noticed the movie code sticker on Hostel 2 as well and that title was only $5. Picked that up as a blind buy.

Well the set is worth owning and you're not missing much by not having the unrated version.

Here is all you're missing in the R rated version and it's really minor in my opinion. This link contains spoilers of course.

Good prices on a decent selection. Standard recommendation for Curse / Night of the Demon applies, especially considering that you can get the set for ~$13 with expedited shipping using the B&N Visa link.

Re: halloween/scary/Horror movie deals yet?

I saw the orignal Texas Chainsaw Massacre steelbook for $5 at wal-Mart today. Also saw the new version of Happy Birthday to Me, which has a street date of 10/13, for $5.

Wasn't overly impressed with the movie but for $5 i'd upgrade and get the correct soundtrack.

My point exactly. Seeing as I could sell my copy for $5 easily.

Confirmed here on Happy Birthday to Me... Store I was at this evening had the shelves labeled for the $5 Halloween sale. Only a few titles were stocked, Evil Dead, HBtM, some others - but there was a decent amount of empty space waiting to be filled. Texas Chainsaw CE was labeled, hope it gets the steelbook...

I think it was last year that I picked up the Anchor Bay 2 Disc for around $5 at Best Buy. Seems like Best Buy always has their Anchor Bay titles on sale for cheap around Halloween.

Re: halloween/scary/Horror movie deals yet?

I'd like to get my hands on that new Happy Birthday To Me release for $5. I was at Walmart this afternoon and didn't see the new display yet but i am hoping to catch this soon and see what other titles they'll have. Was this display originally where they had the box sets? Because that was still there today but it looked smaller then before so they might be getting ready to clear it away to move in the $5 horror ones.

There isn't a Walmart in my local area, but hopefully I'll be near one this weekend to check for copies of Happy Birthday To Me.

My Wal-Mart is in the process of totally revamping their dvd selection, much like they did about six months ago nationwide. There is a whole half aisle with nothing but $5 horror movies. I noticed Walmart akso has a new line of dvds called iconic films. anyone else seen that?

Got my Happy Birthday To Me today (and only four days before my birthday)! Had to stop at thee different Walmarts before I found one that had it. Luckily I was headed into the city today and drove past the three stores on the way. I'm now kicking myself for passing up the two disc Texas Chain Saw Massacre (1974) for $5.00. Its worth the re-buy for the documentaries alone. Think I'll head back this week and pick it up.

You mean... Hello Mary Lou: Prom Night 2. It always pissed me off that its not the way you wrote it. If it was then it would be next to my other 5 Prom Nights and not in the "H" section of my collection.

Lucky! I checked my location today and no luck. At least it's good to know that one in PA has this so i'm hoping my closest Walmart will get these in shortly. Which Walmart did you find it at?
