I've never seen BL mark things down. There are some DVDs there from waves 1-2 years ago.

BTW, The Kid Stays in the Picture is a surpisingly good doc about the head of Paramount.

That's the first mention I've seen of this title. I bought it full price when it was first released. Highly recommended. It's beautifully remastered anamorphic WS...far nicer than the blurry pan-and-scan ones previously released by Good Times Video. ...And be prepared to laugh.

There were 3 copies at the Big Lots I went to. I could always go back if I change my mind.

Alot of the Sony titles are Canadian/French versions. I had picked up The Fan and on the cover has the title in English and French. Found a few more. Still plays good.

Finally found Hitchcock's "Saboteur" at my nearest Big Lots tonight. It's a wonder I did, considered this new two-tiered cardboard display they've got set up. Another interesting find was "Opus N' Bill in a Wish for Wings That Work", just in time for the holidays.

I've definitely seen Half Past Dead recently. IIRC it even came with a digital copy.

I went to Big Lots yesterday...Large qty of of $3 discs..And some $6 that were shrink wrapped that said pre-owned. Only thing I remember was 1 disc version of Twilight that was used for $6.
Last time I was there dvds were practically empty, so it was like 6x the amount that was there last time.

Kennett Square received a shipment of the $6 previewed discs but nothing else of note.

I'm pretty sure that Motorama was only released fullscreen; all the original reviews I've read say so. It's a fun, quirky little mixture of Alice in Wonderland, The Wizard of Oz, The Odyssey, and other fantastical road/quest stories. Not great, but worth $3 and a watch IMO.

Also saw season 1 of Rules of Engagement in this new shipment which I don't think has been reported. However, I have not found Action yet.

Stopped by the La Habra Big Lots! Lots of all the same stuff I've seen before. Except I did see an elusive copy of Theodore Rex starring me in the face.

On a side note, they had Wii games for $18.88 and Playstation (2?3?) games for $9.95. I don't have either system and haven't played a video game since Duke Nuken 3D, so I passed. Thought those retailed for high 50s so maybe it's worth a look.

Just curious but has anyone seen any of "The Waltons" series show up at BL? The reason I ask is when the boxsets were showing up at BL months ago, inside of a couple (WB I believe) there were some ads and such from back in 06 or 07 that had expired. It advertised a few other series that started showing up at BL like Dukes of Hazzard, Friends, etc well the Waltons was mentioned in this little flier/ad/ whatever that comes inside the dvd case.

I figured with all the sets that were hitting the BL stores it would just be a matter of time before they showed up. Well I never saw anything, and things dried up I believe because of the lawsuit, because I haven't seen but a few WB dvd's since then in singles or box sets.

Last week at my local Sam's Club, the Waltons series showed up marked down to $8.88 per season. Do you think some of these shipments may have been routed from BL or are possibly still going to make their way to BL?

I'm certain the Waltons hasn't been seen at Big Lots. Thanks for the heads up about Sam's Club. Last time I was there, I think they were $11.88. Surprising to see them even lower now.
