As stronghold stated, their CS is excellent. I've never had any problem getting a disc replaced, or refunded. The last time, I didn't even need to send the incorrect DVD back.

Here's a query.
If you order over the $30, but an item happens to be no longer available and your total falls below the $30, do you still get the discount.
I say this cause sometimes it will list they only have 1 item of a certain DVD. There's no guarrantee it will still be in stock by the time they process your order.

will be placing an order for Bleach Season 2 box set, Bush 1994-1999 (been waiting for this one to come in stock for a LOONNNGGGGGG time!), and possibly Miyazaki's Whisper of the Heart!

It has happened to me before, and yes, I still got the discount. I've found most firms will honor that. Not your fault if the item becomes unavailable.

I caved in and ordered a few. Comes out to $7.69 per movie. They do have a great selection-except for SLITHER HD they had everything else I wanted but some of the prices are way to high for HD DVD.

Bourne Supremacy [HD-DVD]
Used DVD - Price: $8.31

Tremors [HD-DVD]
Used DVD - Price: $7.99

Lucky Number Slevin [HD-DVD]
Used DVD - Price: $6.39

Clerks 2 [HD-DVD]
Used DVD - Price: $6.39

Wolf Creek [HD-DVD] [Unrated]
Used DVD - Price: $6.39

Total Bought: $35.47
Credit Applied: ($0.00)
Shipping: $0.00
Sales Tax (NY 8.38%): $2.97
Total: $38.44

I have had a few orders that have had incorrect items, but the price and service more than make up for it. Many times an item arrives, and its new and sealed, despite the used price.
I guess it's all perspective -- I tried placing an order with them a few months ago and they have lost all of my future business. Their customer service was virtually non-existent, extremely slow, and very rude. My package never did arrive and rather than offering to re-send the items that they could, they simply canceled my order without asking.

Just for confirmation, I contacted Spun, and asked if they were in any way affiliated with SecondSpin.com. This is the reply:

Hi! Thank you for contacting Spun.com. No, we're not affiliated. Thanks!

I hope they have a new code soon. This particular code is dead, unfortunately... it looks like they have some good prices on a few Blu-ray's I want now.

fye.com (which will have the same inventory - natch) has free shipping on all orders over $25 and a coupon code for 20% off used (USED20HSH). That's pretty close as long as you can get your order over $25.

that site is a joke. their used prices are higher than the new prices for the same item. so with the 20% off coupon, you can now get a used dvd for the price of a new one.

That's not true across the board, I just made an order that was the same price as secondspin would have been. Thanks BamaDan!

Except.... from their site.....

Valid online only on Used CDs and Used DVDs, not valid on Blu-ray.

sorry to keep hating (its not personal!), but fye.com actually does not have the same exact inventory as secondspin.com.

Yep, I placed one order on Christmas day, and one a couple of days later and neither have arrived. I did get emails saying they had been shipped though.

OK, but for those of us with fye gift cards in hand, it's another avenue. If it's not at secondspin, move to wherehouse, not there move to fye. The coupons do appear.

Sorry about no used Blu-Ray...

Re: SecondSpin.com: 20% off + Free Shipping on orders over $30

When I enter the above mentioned coupon code, for some reason it does not take 20 % off all my used titles only the first one in the cart. Any ideas why or how to get the coupon working? Thanks for any help.

1. They don't have the same inventory in stock.
2. Prices are 25%-40% higher, at least for the DVDs I am interested in.

Just a note that if you put something in your cart from secondspin, it will disappear from the inventory on both sites, so if you have stuff in your cart at secondspin, and it's the only copy available, you won't find it at wherehouse.

Unfortunately wherehouse.com doesn't offer free shipping. Not worth it for me. Hopefully secondspin will have that sale again soon.
