Any one here attended any of the Wizard World Cons?
I saw that they are having a Wizard World Con next week in Atlanta and since it is only a 2+ hour drive away, I was thinking about taking my son and checking it out but wondered if it was worth the drive and time? Anyone here been to the Atlanta one or any of the others? Much to see or do?
I am not really impressed with the guest list for it with the exception of Stan Lee but I am not the type to stand in line for an autograph anyway. Was more interested in looking at the people in various costumes, pop culture toys, etc. Every Con here in Birmingham has been tiny and really not much to look at.

Been to a bunch of them in different cities. Chicago is the biggest, probably followed by Philly. They'll all the bigger than most of the other non-Wizard cons. They're doing a lot of cons in other cites this year. The quality will vary based on the city. For instance, Richmond, VA is likely to be much smaller and have fewer celebrity guests.
The cosplayers are very creative and many of the costumes are excellent. There's lots of hot, sometimes half naked, women dressed as Catwoman, Posion Ivy, Black Cat, etc. But be warned, I saw a half naked 300+lb woman dressed as Storm from the X-men.

Went to the Sacramento Wizard Con a couple months ago, and was disappointed by it. The vendors were mediocre and there was no real high point, although the guests were okay (Stan Lee, Billy Dee Williams, Neal Adams and others). If they have another next year, I may go but with lowered expectations.
The Wonder Cons are better organized and more fun.
