What is the price history like on this set? Is this a really good deal?

I've always heard great things about Deadwood, but I've never seen an episode.

Seems like that's the lowest it's had from what I can see on camelcamelcamel.com. The highest it's been (since November of last year)was $176.61. From there it's been generally between $100-$140. So yeah...this is a damn good deal. Unfortunately...I don't think I can partake on this cuz I just got a lot of shit today. Fuck. lol.

At $20/season, this is a steal. I got it back in June for $64.99 and don't regret it a bit. One of the greatest shows on HBO.

Damn. This is a good deal for this but my November is already fairly filled with expensive purchases . May have to think about getting this though.

It's definitely a great price, and I've been waiting for an excellent deal on this set.

However, I'm half tempted to wait to see if there's an even better Black Friday deal.

I know I'll regret it...

My experience is that stuff that goes on sale in early November is never cheaper during BF. Of course I have not researched this extensively, but it is my observation.

Good deal, but not a killer deal and there are too many new releases and exclusives this holiday season (with 3 Disney movies and 3 superhero movies). Not high on my priority list ..

Am glad I sold off my DVD set a few years ago. It was sealed though, so I've still never seen this series.

We're so close to Black Friday, I'm hesitating at most of the weekly/daily deals right now. I'm one of the doofuses who bought the DVD set back when it first came out, but have always wanted to upgrade to Blu-ray...alas, $60 still is a little high for me - if it ever hits $40, I'm in.

That said, this is a great blind buy and one heck of a series (that should have been on the air twice as long, but maybe it's good that it only had three seasons as it never had a chance to jump the shark).

I think it hasn't been selling that well for HBO and they need to move stock. I've seen it around this price or even lower from clearance sellers on eBay and elsewhere. If Amazon is running it at this price, it is very likely that it will show up even cheaper in a few months. Amazon never sells anything at cost anymore...

I wouldn't go that far. They had some killer stuff during BF last year (Complete It Takes a Thief), but on the whole great Amazon deals are few and far between. This is too weak a bargain for a blind buy a month before BF. I'm hoping to be more conservative this year So, I'll pass on this again.

The closest Best Buy to my place only has stocked the Digipak version.

While out X-Mas shopping with one of my best friends today, we stopped by a Best Buy that was about 40 minutes away.

I managed to pick-up the release with the Digital Copies and price match Amazon's (then) price of $49.49
