"Misalliance" - As the White House gears up for President Kirkman's first international summit, Kimble Hookstraten faces her toughest political battle yet when her speakership is challenged. Meanwhile, Alex wrestles with whether or not to bring the kids back to Washington on ABC's "Designated Survivor," WEDNESDAY, MAY 3 (10:00-11:00 p.m. EDT), on The ABC Television Network.
"Designated Survivor" stars Kiefer Sutherland as Tom Kirkman, Natascha McElhone as Alex Kirkman, Adan Canto as Aaron Shore, Italia Ricci as Emily Rhodes, LaMonica Garrett as Mike Ritter with Kal Penn as Seth Wright and Maggie Q as Hannah Wells.
"Misalliance" was written by Dana LeDoux Miller & Jenna Richman. Norberto Barba is the director.
"Designated Survivor" is from The Mark Gordon Company and ABC Studios. David Guggenheim is the creator and executive producer. Executive Producers are Simon Kinberg, Mark Gordon, Jeff Melvoin, Nick Pepper, Suzan Bymel, Aditya Sood and Kiefer Sutherland.

Keith Eisner, a former EP on The Good Wife, was hired as showrunner for season 2. He will be the show's 4th showrunner.

I am... but a day late. 
With him in the woods getting spooked by the deer, I was totally expecting a Walker to sneak up out of no where and bite him (ala T-Dog)... but I knew he was a goner.
Other than Jason, I thought the ep was really good... but part of me hated to see Hookstraten relegated to Secretary of Education... now what is Aaron going to do?

Definitely sucks that they killed him off. You would think these high ranking FBI types would know better than to head off alone into situations where they could be easily ambushed. But nope... one kidnapped, one dead.
The whole taken and put on a cargo ship seems to have become a thing. Seems like a have seen it a few times over the last couple years.

If this comes back for season 2, wonder how they will revamp things and what cast changes they will make
I feel the show is trying to be a bit of everything , politicial drama, thriller, spy actioner and hasn't done anything exceptional
One positive is no storylines involving the children

Alias was one I thought of. Might have been an oil rig she was on. Never been on a cargo ship but do they run so smoothly she wouldn't have felt the movement while sitting in it?

I'd suspect container on a ship feels and sounds much different that container on a truck eh? Bummer on Atwell as well.
