DD is calling it a MOD. Wonder if that means we have to buy direct from Warner to get factory pressed?

Re: Forbidden Hollywood 10 is On The Way
DD has had pressed versions of the 1st editions of the rest if this series, as has TCM.
I noticed Warner is also calling this a mod; it's either a policy change or an error.

Per the overseas Warner rep, he BELIEVES there has been a policy change & it will be a MOD. He's supposed to give me a definitive answer by tomorrow.

I thought that they've all* been listed as MOD, but initially get pressed anyway..?
*Bar the first few, obviously.

Re: Forbidden Hollywood 10 is On The Way
Ever since Warner Archive's site was combined with the general WBShop site, the text about "initial copies are pressed in anticipation of high demand" has disappeared, and there is no longer a "replicated discs" page that lists all such discs.
HOWEVER that only seems to be a website change, and the actual policy of initially pressing multi-disc sets has seemingly continued unchanged. I forget exactly when the website switch happened, but I have definitely ordered sets released since then and they were pressed as expected.

The Warner rep did NOT call me as promised; I hope you're right. I also hope DD. TCM, etc have the pressed edition as in the past, as WB direct is usually more expensive.
If anyone is willing to be a "Guinea Pig", I would appreciate hearing the outcome. I own 1-9, so I want this; but I am really hesitant to pay $35 (DD's price) for 5 burned discs.

Re: Forbidden Hollywood 10 is On The Way
I have Forbidden Hollywood 10 on preorder so I'll let the thread know if the discs are pressed or not. I ordered directly from WA though, so you'll have to make a judgment call yourselves on DD/TCM.

Thank you! I'll need to order one. They've announced this will be the last in the series.
Sad that the Warner phone person gave me bad info..........

I ordered from DD, as they were $6 cheaper, + free shipping. They've also sent factory pressed in the past; so I think/hope I'm safe!
I'll also post if mine is pressed (I'm going to kick myself really hard if it isn't!)

Irony: I also ordered the deluxe Jethro Tull Aqualung at the same time (now owned by Rhino, which is owned by Warner).
Both items were significantly cheaper buying from a 3rd party rather then direct from Warner..........
WARNER: wake up & smell the lost profits!
