RIP Mac

Wonder what the "other thing" he and Mockingbird were talking about is?

Mac could still be alive. Looked like he had some super human strength going on so he might have survived the fall.

I think Mockingbird is putting together a A-Team away from shield. I don't think she is fully on board with shield.

I doubt that Fitz is going anywhere. He'll get over his problems with Simmons. Then he'll have more problems when Simmons and Trip get together. Then Fitz will get over that and everything will be back to normal.

I'm predicting Hydra will get to the city and all their agents are going to die unless a few of there people have the special gene. Skye will stop the device from going global probably by using some new super power.

Another good episode. I think I say it every week, but I continue to be happy how they're moving the show and plot along. Loved all the Koenig stuff and the questions about his "brothers." I wonder if they'll explain that at all or leave it as a running joke. Outright mentioning Kree was nice to hear.

The only thing that I kind of annoyed me is that I assume Agent 33 should have been able to kick the shit out of Skye easier and quicker. Yeah Skye looked beat and needed help, but I'd think a seasoned agent would be better.

I hope Mac isn't dead. He's been one of the better additions of the show this year.

No body seen, so I don't think Mac is "officially" dead either.

It looked like he was juiced up with what was controlling him, so it's feasible that element kept him alive despite falling down that shaft.

Pleasantly surprised that Mockingbird has been around as long as she has been. Palicki has been a great addition this season.

Next week is the midseason finale. Goes on break until March. Agent Carter will fill the timeslot.

I loved Bobbi and Coulson's little discussion about acceptable losses.

She is ridiculously hot. My brain just stops working whenever she's on screen.

I too had trouble concentrating on anything other than the tight, white t-shirt. There was more to this ep. than that , wasn't there?

Why did they send Mac down anyway? Wouldn't that be Mockingbird's role? I mean, the guy is huge but he's not exactly a field agent, and not the easiest to lower down and bring back up either.

I did think for a moment that this was the origin of Luke Cage (and that Mac was using an alias because of that whole "other thing" with Mockingbird).

I was thinking the same thing about Luke Cage. Which would be pretty awesome. I've been thinking the actor would be perfect for that role as soon as I saw him. But alas, casting is still going on for that show (unless it's all been a sham!)

I am really impressed with this season, leaps and bounds above last. And I agree, Adrianne Palicki since Friday Night Lights, seems to only get hotter and bustier. But hey, Chloe Bennett is very easy on the eyes too.

Al "Mac" MacKenzie is a SHIELD Agent from the comics, and he first appeared in 1988. Highly unlikely that they would morph him into Cage.

Yes, I know it's not Luke cage. As I stated, that's another show that's in casting.

But in terms of saying something is highly unlikely, a lot of changes have been made for the MCU. I don't think things are off-limits.

Did Mac get super strength in the comics? Wasn't mockingbird married to Hawkeye, not Lance Hunter? Wasn't nick fury white (just kidding). Didn't ant-man create ultron? Etc.

I know they wouldn't dare mess with such a venerable comic character. They cast him just like he looks in the comics:

I wonder if Hawkeye will get his own movie, because if he does, Adrianne Palicki will have to co-star, since Mockingbird and Hawkeye have always been an item - I wonder if there would be any chemistry between the two actors, or if it would be creepy since Renner is more than 10 years older than her.

Oh, and since everyone seem so to be a fan of Palicki's boobs, here you go!

Impressive fight choreography, though some of the quick cutting didn't hide the occasional obvious stunt double. That was a monstrosity of a way to cliffhanger the episode, thigh in betting that Ward killed everyone else on board. Is it bad that I kept mixing up Mac and Tripp? I'm a horrible person. I wonder who the fight choreographer is on this show, does Mockingbird fight with Eskrima using the sticks? Seems to be a popular style of martial arts for film, I suppose it looks cinematic. What else is she lying to Lance about? The Fitz-Simmons melodrama isn't bad, I just wonder if it'll play into the larger plot or just be character beats. Wonder if Palicki will become a regular, she and May would make a cool pair of warrior women, and team needs a bit more muscle with Ward on the other side. You'd think Agent 33 could just shed the mask now since she no longer needs it. Presumably she can't because May damaged it, but probably just because they want her to play dual roles. They just left her to go report back to Whitehall?

"How many of you are there?"
Classic Whedon. And also classic Whedon, since there was inevitably going to be a death and someone who didn't make it to the end of the season.

"We're special humans."
God, I wish they could just say "mutants."

You'll notice that Coulson called the pair "FitzSimmons" in this episode. I don't know if that's been done before on-screen.

It definitely has been said on screen before. I believe even in their first appearance.
