Saw MIB last night, and that was the only thing on my radar. Gonna kick the media server this weekend.

THE BEST EXOTIC MARIGOLD HOTEL
I was told yesterday by The New York Times that this is a movie for the over-50 crowd and that this is what I'm supposed to be seeing:
Older Faces on Screen Draw an Overlooked Crowd
So I guess I can't see any superhero movies anymore, only movies with Helen Mirren, Morgan Freeman, Bruce Willis and Ernest Borgnine (hey, I'll watch RED!).
Stallone's 66, so I guess EXPENDABLES 2 will be eligible. Or should I consult with my AARP rep first?

My gf's parents want to get together for dinner/movie on Sun. Girls are going to see some chick flick, so her dad, cousin and I are going to take in The Avengers. It'll be my third time.
I might go see MIB 3 on Tues or Wed after the holiday crowds have mostly subsided.

Going to try and see The Avengers again... other than that some Charles Bronson DVD's. Snakes threads got me all fired up to watch some of his movies again.

yes..that Charles Bronson...is a a revelation when you see him in his 70s stuff. His 80s is...fine. His 60s is his unique era of works...the 70s is where he made his goddamn stamp into icon.

Patton vs. Princess Mononoke
That's a smackdown I'd like to see. I'm not sure who'd win.
If we hadn't invented the A-bomb in time and had to send troops to Japan to finish the job on the ground, Patton might have been sent to Japan to lead the effort and we just might have learned.

Was thinking of watching Top Gun, and wishing its 1986 instead of 2012. The greatness of Reagan Era American Exceptionalism.
