Re: Touch -- "Lost and Found" -- 4/19/12
Well, I guess Danny Glover finally got too old for this shit.
Who knew that when the guy wrote that IOU, it would be for his sperm? And if sperm was his intention, do you think he thought he'd be delivering it in a different manner than frozen?
Martin has now graduated from calling his son sweetheart to calling a complete stranger's boy he finds in the park sweetheart. Fortunately it was a completely empty park in the middle of L.A....I mean New York.
The stuff with the lost kid and Gugu's mother wasn't all that interesting to me. But the whole thing with the lesbians and the plane crash was. Once again we get everything tied up together in a neat bundle at the end.

It was a nice tie-in that the donor they picked is someone who was tested as a child with an IQ of 150 ( because who amongst us wouldn't want that in our DNA? )

I'll give this episode credit. They cast 2 very attractive Asian women (Michelle Krusiec and Camille Chen) as a Lesbian couple.
I had to laugh when the IOU ended up being the guy's sperm.
Is it so hard for the writers of these episodes to script "Son" instead of "Sweetheart" I mean that's just weird to hear Kiefer say that to a little boy.
I don't love this show, but I do think it's watchable and a decent show for families to watch together. I can see how all these interconnected storylines week after week can get old and annoying to some people.

The problem with having 3-4 different sets of new characters every week is that you never get a chance to become fully involved with any of them. The whole show is like a Rube Goldberg contraption that eventually does something.
(And an aside ..... Tim Kring really loves subtitles.)

It would go against the entire premise of the show but why no focus just on the core characters if there is a season 2 instead of introducing new people in every episode?
Tragic that Asian girl with the glasses was a lesbian.
The show has been getting better.
