Was There Ever an Issue with First Batch Pressings of The Dark Knight?
I got my first Blu-ray player for Christmas and popped in TDK last night. It's a copy from the first batch of discs that would have went to stores when it came out in December 2008. Were there any known issues with it? Or is it the actual disc or just my player? It skips from the 20 minute mark all the way to the hour mark. I can go back manually in the movie to the 39 minute mark but nothing past that, so essentially 19 minutes of the film are "missing" from the movie.
I played Amadeus and Smokin' Aces today with no issues at all.
My player is Sony BDP-S580.
Thanks for your help.

I have a first run on TDK and never had an issue when playing it. Have you tried updating your player's firmware?

I'll have to update the firmware and see what happens. I guess it's possibly I just have a defective disc.

I have the first-fun steelbook, and it played fine on both PS3 and the Sony BDP-360.
