I've wanted to like this show more than I actually do, but that pre-sex scene was hilarious (mostly due to Justin Long's Jimmy Stewart impression). Funniest part of the series for me so far.

The last episode with Justin Long was so funny I've saved it on my DVR and watched it multiple times. This one...not so much...but mostly because the side-stories seemed very uneven.

Coupling Justin Long with Zoey is the best thing this show has done. Here's hoping he's around for a long time. I read he signed for three episodes, but if they'll have him, he's willing to do many more.

People seem to either love or hate this show. I don't get the people who hate it. I've never laughed out loud as much as when I watch this show.

Most awkward make-out scene in the history of TV? It has to at least be up there. Truly, truly awkward to watch but really funny. The Jimmy Stewart impression alone was enough to make the scene a bit disturbing, but as others have said, once she started choking him, it took it to another level. I'll agree that the side stories weren't as good this episode, especially Nick's haircut, but there were some great laughs.

I had never watched this show before, but tuned in strictly because of the promos with Zooey in her underwear (yeah, I admit it). Thought it was hilarious, especially the stuff between Zooey and Justin Long. I gather from the comments here this must have been an exceptionally good episode, though. So not sure if I'll continue to tune in, unless Zooey is in her underwear some more, or someone can attest to the show continuing at that level of funny.

Also, Eva Amurri - had heard of her, but never really seen her. Wowser!

You won't regret it. A friend compelled me to watch four eps. withe her a couple days ago and now New Girl is must-watch TV for me. Kicking myself for not discovering it sooner.

Like many new shows, it has taken a few episodes for it to find its voice, and it's still finding its legs to an extent. I thought the pilot for this was particularly bad, but it has shown a lot of improvement since then. I would tune in again if you laughed at this episode.

Re: Eva Amurri - she's lost a bit of weight (it shows in her face, I almost didn't recognize her at the start of this episode. Those who didn't know of her, go seek out her pole dance scenes/photos from "Californication", you won't regret it.

Many shows take a little while to find their grove, and I don't believe most shows can pull off insane laughter all the time.
