UK PAL format question

In the U.K. have there ever been any instances when in the case of a PAL video or PAL TV version of an American film, the actors' voices were redubbed by British voice artists either entirely, or just for certain parts?

Re: UK PAL format question

I know in the UK "Cars", the agent's voice was dubbed by someone else. I think one of the Shrek movies as well. I know some Japanese anime as well have different dubs.

he might be thinking of slight speed-up which changes the tone of voices?...

Re: UK PAL format question

Just an addition to what I said earlier, but the upcoming UK version of Studio Ghibli's "Arrietty" will have a completely different dubbed version from the US Disney release. I think this is the first Studio Ghibli release to have 2 different UK/US dubs.
