still wondering why that promo shot is missing Ty
at first I figured they had replaced him with the FBI chick but he's still making regular appearances

I don't know either. I was lucky enough just to find that particular one. Most of the promotional photos only feature Dylan and Tricia (the FBI chick). There is a few with Nicki and Logan, but surprisingly none with Omari (Ty)

Just finished this tonight (or this morning)
Very good episode. Totally made up for last week's stinker. Now this is what Dark Blue is all about. What I really enjoyed the most was that Carter and Alex weren't so cutesy with each and he actually took some initiative and defied her orders to do what was best for the case. IMO, it would have been alot more compelling if the brother actually killed one of those sheriffs and that would have put Carter and Alex into a deep shit hole. The writer of this episode kind of wimped out there. Other than that, it was a really compelling plot and I was surprised to see 2 shooters attempt to hit the judge.

Ty got lucky. That shot is terrible. The women's heads look really odd, and Dylan looks like he's about to flash someone in a park. Bad work by TNT - they should take a cue from Sons of Anarchy.
I also thought this was a strong episode. The scene with the sheriffs was pretty intense.
