From MTV.com:

EXCLUSIVE: 'Thor: Tales Of Asgard' Preview - Get Your First Look At Marvel's Next Animated Feature!

Posted 2/3/10 4:16 pm ET by Rick Marshall in Hot Stuff, Marvel, News, Video

"Planet Hulk," the latest animated feature from Marvel Studios and Lionsgate Home Entertainment, hit shelves this week. We posted our "Planet Hulk" review yesterday, and today we have a bonus for you: an exclusive first look at "Thor: Tales Of Asgard," Marvel's next animated feature.

This "Thor: Tales of Asgard" preview is a special feature on the "Planet Hulk" DVD and Blu-Ray, available now.

"Thor: Tales Of Asgard" arrives on shelves in 2011 — probably around the same time Kenneth Branagh's live-action "Thor" hits theaters.

Re: Thor - Tales of Asgard ---> 2011

Hmmm. Only one Marvel Animated Feature this year? Seems they should be able to pump out more than that. They don't seem that expensive to make.

(Then again, maybe we should be thankful there's only one. For the most part, they've been rather weak movies.)

***Edit. Just watched the trailer. Looks like another crappy Marvel Animated film tailored to appeal to 6 to 8 year-old boys like that kiddie Avengers movie. I wish they would just go back to the original comics and make films based on them.)

Thor was actually finished before Planet Hulk...they just delayed it to tie in with the live-action Thor flick. They've been on a one-release-a-year pace for a while now, though.

(I really liked Next Avengers, personally.)

/\ I don't know IMDb only says 2011, and there isn't even a page on Amazon for it. If it were timed to release with the theatrical film, surely we would've heard something by now. Maybe its going the way of the Wolverine and Iron Man animes? (Read: Who the fuck knows?)

I miss dx23

It's been a few years now, and still nothing. Wolverine look like shit, but I like the Iron Man one.

Not really sure what it is about them but I tend to not like the Marvel animated movies very much. The DC ones from WB Premiere have been a lot better in my opinion.

I guess you're just talking about their US releases, because both of those anime already aired in Japan.

/\ I was referring to North America, but thanks for the heads up that they have seen the light of day elsewhere. Maybe they'll release them down the line as a Marvel Knights release?

Iron Man anime should be airing in the US on G4 in English this summer.

Mentioned this in the DVD Thread - Pretty short in the extras department. Probably saving up for the eventual Thor feature film bonus features.

I wonder if the Avengers episodes will be in HD? I seem to remember a Wolverine and the X-Men episode on one of the Hulk DTV blu's that was SD.

Are you saying that because of the trailer? Because I've seen them both and I thoroughly enjoyed them. Yeah they were cheesy, but they were fun!
