Cool. They had charged I think an extra 2.99 or 3.99 if you wanted it delivered on Saturday instead of waiting for Monday..

That's cool; i'll need to keep it in mind if I order something on around Thursday since I usually ship stuff to work.

I got one a few weeks ago as well. It was FedEx instead of the regular UPS.

What does the "*" mean? I assume there is a cutoff time for saturday delivery.

Pants are always optional.

That's what I'm assuming as well. If you order something at 10 p.m. on Thursday, I don't think you should be expecting your package on Saturday. That being said, I was shocked that I placed an order last week at around 8 p.m. on a Wednesday and still received my order on a Friday. I love my Prime membership!

Free shipping from Amazon usually only takes two days for me anyway, so I've never felt the need to pay for Prime.

Don't recall seeing this e-mail from them. I have been a Prime member for a couple of years now (in fact my membership renews this week), so this is nice to know.

Does anyone know if this is just for the holidays, or if it's a permanent thing?

Even better! I also get a lot of Prime orders one day after shipping. Depends on the warehouse it comes from.
I didn't order anything this Thursday, but I did put something in my cart Thursday morning just to see what delivery date it would project, and it did project Saturday. So it's nice to know I shouldn't have to wait for Monday at least.

I placed an order for 5 cds last Thursday. 4 of the 5 arrived Friday with the last scheduled to get here tomorrow.
