FREEDOM FORCE!!! 1,000 times over. Don't walk, run, to go dl a copy from Steam. I dig the game, but FF will make Ultimate Alliance look like a game with special needs.

Also Champions Online comes out on 9/1. From the makers of City of Heroes, which is also worth checking out.

I loved the first FF but never got the second because i missed it at launch and then years later it didn't look like it played on Vista.

Googling around it seems the Steam version has the newest patch which will let them play on Vista.
I have it bought and downloading now. I absolutely loved the first game and never had a chance to play the second so i'm pretty excited.
It will just not be competing with the time i spend on the PC playing the free Magic-like CCG game Elements.

I think the second game suffered a bit because of the new power sets of the "mystery men" style characters, so I never finished it. But it was still really good. I'm going to play through both games again sometime soon and give part 2 a second chance.

There's no Steam for Mac though, right? So unless you're running a VM, Parallels, or Boot Camp, Steam probably wouldn't be an easy way to go for Freedom Force.
