The power button on the remote for my Sony DVP-S330 stopped working. Of course I'll try fresh batteries first, but since all of the other buttons work fine, I tend to think that there's something wrong with that button. It's only the power button, so it hardly seems worth it to buy a new remote or to take it in to get repaired. Does anyone have any ideas as to how I can fix this myself?

How electronically minded are you? You could try either of two things. Try slapping the inverted remote with you hand to see if it unsticks the power button. Sometimes this brute force method works, but I'll bet that you've tried this already. Also try unscrewing the face off, and look under the power button itself -- you may see a place where the trigger has become stuck, and a set of eyeglass screwdrivers will help you unstick it. However, if this is a "chiclet" type of connection, you may have to go see a pro.
