20th Century Fox will bring PREDATOR 2 to Blu-ray high-definition with a Special Edition release on June 9 (SRP $34.99). The sequel to 1987's popular Predator stars Danny Glover, Gary Busey, Rubén Blades, Maria Conchita Alonso, Bill Paxton, Robert Davi, Adam Baldwin, Kent McCord, Morton Downey Jr, and the late Kevin Peter Hall, who again portrays the menacing character in the title role.

I think this actually wound up being cheaper when I got it from Amazon UK in January. It was something like $22 US shipped. A rare region-free Fox title. Looks pretty nice too.

Well, now I don't have to buy the UK version. Isn't this missing deleted scenes from a prior release, or am I just imagining they were on the old SE?

Yeah, I have the UK version already and it's badass. Probably cheaper too, especially with the current Amazon UK sale. I just checked the extras and it seems the U.S. disc may have a few more extras as I can't fiind any trailers or the "Much Worse", "Thrill Of The Hunt" or "Jungle Revised" bullet points on the UK disc. All the other stuff is there though.

Gee, that's nice, now how about you make a new version of the superior first movie to go with this and this time include all the special features on a BD-50 with a new AVC encode, hmmm, OK Fox?

It's sad to see the nice treatment Predator 2 is receiving from Fox when one considers the shoddy treatment given to Predator.

I still consider Predator 2 to be a guilty pleasure and will add it to the collection. Let's hope Fox revisits the original.

As I remember, he's second-in-command to Gary Busey's character.

Yeah, he doesn't have too much screen time. The line I remember most is when Glover yells to Busey's character "Who the hell are you?" and he steps in Glover's face and says "The last person in the world you want to fuck with"
