I was surprised to see this at Amazon UK while I was searching the site. I didn't think it was actually going to be released.

I bought the 40th Anniversary "Prisoner" released by Network in the UK and the picture quality is excellent. I'm wondering how much better the Blu-ray can be. I'm a sucker for "The Prisoner" so I went ahead and pre-ordered it. Hope it's not region locked. (But if it is, I've got a LG player that can handle that little roadblock.)

Wasn't there something in the Announcements thread about an American release? Maybe it was this one instead ... can't remember for sure.

Edit to add: I just checked and it was NOT an announcement on a Region A release.

Yeah, I thought this was known to have been coming (in at least an R1 edition). I might have missed later news that it had been canceled, though.

This release was pushed back a couple of times and today I received an e-mail from Amazon England that this release has been canceled.
