I've been waiting to pick this up for the longest time, finally got it for 9.99 when it went on sale at BB recently...

Yesterday I went to Burlington Coat Factory as saw a little cardboard display of DVDs. They had THE MIST: 2 Disc Special Edition for 6.99. Best price I have seen yet. They had a couple more titles that I can't quite recall.

YMMV i'm sure. I have only been to one store so I can't say this is everywhere.

Yep, a great deal indeed.

Some FYE stores have a 3 for $10 bin right now, with this and the 1408 2-disc in it as well. I saw it at the FYE in Greenville, but it's likely a YMMV deal, as mentioned in the thread for this deal.

I hit the Burlington on the north side of Colorado Springs, CO and they still had three other copies of The Mist. It doesn't have the slipcover, but I'm not about to complain for $7! There really wasn't anything else all that spectacular in their bin, though.
Thanks OP! I've been regretting trading this away ever since I did it.

ETA: A bit disappointing is that there are no inserts with this. Again, not complaining for the price, but it's worth noting.

I had picked up 1408 2 disc for 3.99 at ross last week, along with a number of superbit titles for the same price. I guess more and more clothing stores are getting these overstock titles

New is always better, but the pre-owned 2-disk version was recently $4.99 at Family Video, with free shipping via the usual code. I got a copy from them, looked like new.

Unfortunately I think they have boosted all the used prices up to at least $5.99 now.

The store I found these at was in West Mifflin, Pennsylvania. The Centry III Mall area Burlingtons.

Also wanted to note, I didn't think the 2-disc has a slip cover. I remember it having one in best buy when it was first released, or so I thought. But, when I purchased the 2-disc at Best Buy when it was on sale for 9.99, none of them had a slip cover. Neither did any of the ones I saw a couple days ago at Burlingtons. So I figure I was wrong and it didn't have a slip.?.?

Is the 2-disc supposed to have a slip cover?

Yes, it originally did.

However, the slip covers are usually printed for a limited time, or amount of discs, only. Generally, unless you buy one close to the time a DVD originally came out, you aren't as likely to still find a copy with one. Especially ones that are are sold as part of a pre-pack at a cut rate price to chain stores, such as these copies seem to be.

Me, I'd gladly take the huge cut in price in trade off for no slip cover.

Like one of the previous posters, I also found a brand new copy of this at Ross for $3.99. Definitely a good deal!
