Just received a cancellation notice saying that my order for Kung Fu Panda was being cancelled because they were out of stock. This was the "Free with Funcash" glitch from 10 days ago. Still showing up as "Processed" and "Pre-order" on my order history. Oh, well. It was worth a try!!!
EDIT: Placed an order for my "replacement" free Blu-ray Kung Fu Panda. See Post #10 on, below. Columbia House makes amends for their "mistake".

Although the $19.95 price the email quotes would seem to suggest they're offering us the DVD, not the Blu-Ray. Still if they actually want to give me it for free I'll take it.

When this glitch first started, I placed an order or it two times, once under both of my active accounts. Today I got the same email as mentioned above, and for what it's worth the code is the exact same for both accounts, and I assume the code is the exact same for everyone. I wonder if the code would work on an account that didn't order it when the glitch was working.
Anyway, it's working for me, awesome. :)
It doesn't make a lick of sense to me why CH would be doing this, but I'm not going to complain one bit. :lol:

Yes, same exact code. It's only valid on accounts that placed an order when KFP was free with fun cash.
It worked on both accounts where I ordered KFP. (Received 2 emails)
It did not work on an account of mine where I did not order KFP.
Also it's a one time use. Just out of curiosity I tried it 2x on the same account before logging into the second and it states after it was used that it was no longer valid.

I think it is ironic that they are sending us instructions on how to enter codes, just like we have been having to follow since they redesigned their website. Why don't they just fix the code link on the check out page, or remove this code enter spot entirely?

I emailed CH to ask about KFP when it was dropped off my recent Blu-ray B1G1 order. They misunderstood my email and placed an order for me for KFP at full price as a preorder. (They've since honored the free one and there's a new order.) Anyway, I emailed them and asked them to cancel the full price order. They said they did in an email response, but there is no indication of such a change in the order status. I called last week - they assured me it was canceled, but it still shows "Scheduled to ship 11/10/08." Should I be concerned about them sending me a duplicate and billing me? Is their order status page that unreliable?

Their order status page is completely unreliable. Sometimes orders will disappear for a day up to a week. Sometimes you get the dvd in the mail when the status page still says processing. Then again, they may have just screwed you too :D. The status page does usually catch up eventually. Maybe keep an eye on it over the next week. If it doesn't change, call again.

The same thing has happened to me. You get something canceled and it may stay on the order page. I still have something I canceled showing from May 5 but I never received it and didn't get charged. It has said "backordered" all this time. It was canceled. I wouldn't worry about it. If the CSR says it was canceled it should be.
