I watched this last weekend with mrs bdb, it's a thriller, and it's French!
What more do you need to know ;) I'd also bet there's another thread for it, but the search here isn't the best.
This for me was one of the better thrillers I have seen in some time, the pacing was perfect, and it does it without the need for sudden shocks when a door opens etc.
I don't want to talk too much about the film, but the characters are interesting, and there are a couple who are fantastic, and also one that looks like a McPoyle!
I would just suggest that people go see it!

The explaination for the big twist was an absolute joke! Ruined the whole movie for me. There was no reason it had to happen the way it did. I get that it is a movie but still...

I enjoyed the novel it's based on (American author Harlan Coben) and plan on checking this out.

I liked it a lot.
Also the other French thriller, Roman de Gare, is good.

Just saw this in the theater yesterday. Well done, but pretty much hated the last act.
Anyone think the lead looks a lot like Dustin Hoffman?

but Tell No One is the better one of the two.

kind of,
this has been getting great word of mouth. Saturday at Landmark it was a sold out crowd - my friend and I snagged the last two tickets.

I think the weakness, if that's what it is, is that it lets mysteries and questions pile up to monumental heights before revealing everything at the end instead of revealing at least a little here and there as it goes along. It makes you feel lost and that you never may make it out (me,anyway). You do, but it's all at the end and so much.
I'm going to read the book to see if it's constructed any differently. I also want to see the movie again, being able to see it with foreknowledge so I know what to look for.

A fair movie with a couple good scenes, but the movie was ruined by the ending.

Wow, I loved the movie from start to finish. It's the best film I've seen all year (so far). In the beginning, it reminded me of "The Vanishing". It also has the best chase scene I've ever seen. Terrific writing and performances. Thumbs way up here. Question, this film was released in 2006 elsewhere. Why did it take so long for a U.S. release?

I caught this last night (opening night here) and enjoyed it. I'm a bit surprised at the hate for the third act, which did have a few elements I disliked, but not enough to "ruin" the film. I'm not sure how high its replay value will be for me, however, since I didn't find the amount of reveals/twists near the end to be overwhelming at all.

I think the movie's replay value is quite high based on the performances. I bought the R2 DVD from Amazon.co.uk last Sunday and just got it in the mail today. It was only £5.98 brand new! And I just looked at the site again just now, and they dropped the price to £4.98 (bastards ;) ) For me, that was about $9.00 plus another $3.00 for shipping. And I got it in 5 days.
