Dr. Syn was great! Looking forward to that for sure.
And CD 4 to make the collection of Donald complete (well as complete as it will ever be I guess).
Great Stuff!

That Destino looks interesting, and another Donald is a must-buy for me.

Who makes these decisions? Was it really necessary to give us another Donald volume at this time, or Destino of all things?
Especially since we've also been waiting too long for the conclusions to Elfego Bacha and Swamp Fox. What ever possessed Disney to split two shows in such a ridiculous combination and just leave people hanging? And then to rub salt in the wound by showing previews for the concluding episodes... that aren't in the collection. Was some bean counter afraid fans would only pick up one or the other if both shows were complete editions and in separate packages?
I'd also prefer to see a second set of Spin and Marty or Hardy Boys episodes.
And don't get me started on Song of the South.

Donald was a must. This line could end at any time and many of us were worried that we wouldn't get Vol.4 and be left with an incomplete set. After we get Vol.4 if they cancel the line well at least we have all (most) of the animated stuff.

I saw Destino during the Dali exhibit at LACMA this past December and it was beautiful. I'm not sure it's worth the price of the set but it is definitely somehing everybody should see at least once. For me this time around it'll have to be Donald Vol. 4.

Thank God the Donald set is coming out, I was concerned that it wouldn't. This is great news.
I'm still debating on buying the Mathmagic disc from the club or waiting to see if it will be on this.

I am thrilled by this news, especially Dr. Syn, which I saw in reruns as a child. Great to see they will include both the television and theatrical versions!

UltimateDisney.com is reporting that Disney has revised the release for the next wave and it appears that Destino has been dropped from the schedule.
http://www.ultimatedisney.com/
July 2, 2008 - Disney has recently revised its vague press release for Walt Disney Treasures: Wave 8. The only difference? Destino, the 2003 realization of a long-unfinished Walt Disney/Salvador Dali animated short, has been dropped. The Chronological Donald, Volume 4 and Dr. Syn, Alias The Scarecrow are still scheduled for release on November 11th.
We're awaiting comment from Disney, but for now it appears that Destino, long anticipated on DVD and earlier planned for release in Walt Disney's Legacy Collection, is no longer bound for DVD in 2008.

I hope that's temporary. And if it's being let off till Wave 9, hopefully they don't just release two tins. How about a Rarities, Volume 2, or an Educational Shorts volume?

Destino will be released this year as a single DVD:

My guess is that Mathmagic Land will be on this set for two reasons. One it was made in 1959 and fits in with the years here, Two Mickey's Christmas Carol is on the MM in Color Vol. 2 set. That is also released separately.
Just a though.
