Will Star Trek: TNG or The Twilight Zone prices ever come down?

I would love to get some of these sets on dvd, but I just cant justify the price.

Especially on the Twilight Zone.

It seems nearly all series/box sets have come down to a very reasonable price (remember the days of the X-Files costing $120 each) but these two series remain very pricey.

I was wondering if anyone knew of any potential price drops in the future.

Thanks in advance.

The TZ sets are a pretty good bargain @ about $66 each. I don't see that coming down much more than that. Right now you can get them for around $51 on DD 20% off sale. Or get the whole series for $135ish.

Bingo! It's a steal for the Complete Series Definitive Edition. If I wasn't about to go to Denver on vacation, this is what I would be spending some money on. Oh well... maybe someday.

ST: TNG is around $50 now. I think this is quite a deal for 7 discs. It used to be $99 each.

I bought TNG for $250 at the DDD sale last summer.

And it's worth every penny.

$66 + $50 is still pretty expensive compared to other series.

I also foudn the Twilight Zone set recently at Amazong for like 165 so, much better than paying the outrageous prices for the singular season sets.

As others have already mentioned, if you hurry and take advantage of DeepDiscount's current 20% off sale (see the DVD Bargains forum for coupon codes), you can get all 5 seasons of The Twilight Zone for $135, or $27 per season. You're not likely to find a better price any time soon.

Exactly! I heard ALL the horror stories about The Definitive Collection Boxset, and passed on it the last DDD sale. This time I got the Boxset and had no problems with scratched discs or packaging problems. It's not that fancy, but it does the job fine. Paying $140+ more (On sale) for the individual sets seems like a tremendous waste of money.

Do you have to buy the entire series or can you buy individual seasons?

It's doubtful there will be any further price drops on TNG until after they get around to reducing the Voyager and Enterprise sets, which are still in the $100 range.
