God of War 2 (ps2) problems

I bought a copy and my ps2 didn't even read it. i then exchanged it for another copy, same problem. i've never had this problem with any other game. anyone else have this problem? any solutions to it?

Sounds like your PS2 is on its way out.

but why would every other game work fine if the problem is the ps2?

god of war 2 = dual layer dvd, most games are not...
old ps2 = not reading dual layer anymore due to being old?
