Opening titles link to IMDB. Rotten Tomatoes % follows.

Opening this Weekend
Epic Movie - N/A%
Smokin' Aces - 33%
Catch and Release - 26%
Blood & Chocolate - N/A%

Expanding (summary)
Babel
Dreamgirls
The Departed 93%
Letters from Iwo Jima 91%
Notes on a Scandal
Pan's Labyrinth 96%
The Queen 98%
Volver 90%

<hr>

I still haven't seen Pan's Labyrinth or Volver, so if I'm at the theatres, it will probably be this one. I figured adding box office gross discussion to this would be good, but lambast me if you think I'm wrong.

What are you seeing? What do you think people are seeing?

I'm praying Epic Movie opens under $10MM. When I saw Rocky Balboa in a crowded theatre packed with meatheads (self included), only one chuckled at the Epic Movie trailer. So there's hope yet.

This is likely to be the last week for Children of Men as a semi-wide release, so see it while you can.

I think Box Office Should be it's own thread, started on Saturday morning with the Friday night stats. That way the info is in the 1st post, not scattered throughout the thread.

Volver and Notes on a Scandel. Would love to see Pan's but it isn't playing here. May I recommend Children of Men to anyone who hasn't seen it.

Smokin' Aces. I'm there opening night ladies and gentlemen.

I'm also going to try and fit in The History Boys if my schedule permits.

Smokin' Aces!

After that, I'm Oscar hunting. Letters from Iwo Jima is finally expanding so I may catch that, same goes for Last King of Scotland.

The Prestige, Borat, Stranger than Fiction, and Flags of our Fathers all hit the cheap theater here, so I will be hitting 2 of those.

Saturday is still on for those up above for me.

On my way to see Smokin' Aces and hopefully will see the Queen sometime this weekend. If it wasnt so fucking cold I would head down to lower Manahattan and check out Little Children, but I doubt it.

Three great movies and one decent one (Flags of Our Fathers). The only cheap theatre we had burnt down about a decade ago (or earlier).
