Exactamondo! All online retailers have almost the same "sales" a few weeks apart and Amazon is almost always the most expensive. At least DDD has the occasional B1G1 free sale like their recent Anchor Bay box set one... but Amazon is constantly more expensive plus no free shipping.

plus no free shipping.
You get free shipping on most items with a $25 purchase. The free shipping thing is definitley overated at DDD. Unless you buy a sale item, they are usually a few dollars higher to make up for the free shipping.

How the heck does Age of Innocence qualify as a "British" classic? The original novel was written by an American, it's set in New York City, and it was directed by Martin Scorsese!

It has Daniel Day-Lewis, does that qualify it?

I hope this is the right spot for it. I just picked up Welcome to the Dollhouse ($16.47) and Storytelling ($9.97) for a total of $26.44. Two real feel good about the world family fun favorites.

As I've said before, it's because Amazon makes the sale *sound* pretty by saying "up to xx% off" but then you realize that the % is taken off MSRP.... which puts Amazon's prices at right about DDD level.

Except for new releases, that is. For the last 5 or 6 months Amazon has been kicking DDD's ass when it comes to prices of new items.
