Looking for DS game recommendations.

I've been having a blast with the games I have and looking for more. Right now I have:

1. Brain Age - love it and play it daily.
2. Ultimate Brain Games - play it quite a bit
3. Tetris DS
4. NSMB - got someone to pass it all for me and now I just click around levels for a quick game.
5. Meteos - awesome game
6. Wario Ware - have spent tons of hours on this game

Didn't like:
1. Advance Wars DS - too hard. I spent over 100 hours (with a Gameshark) on the first one. The second one didn't have good codes for unlimited HP so I didn't play it as much.
2. Trauma Center - too hard

Got bored:
1. Animal Crossing DS - spent tons of hours on it, though

Have but haven't gotten to sit down and play:
1. XX/XY
2. Ace Phoenix

What are some other suggestions? Thanks!

If you like action/adventure platformer games,

Kirby: Canvas Curse
Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow
Super Princess Peach

are all good choices. Also, you might want to pick up Mario 64 DS, especially if you've never played Mario 64 before. Metroid Prime Pinball is fun too.

BTW, play PHOENIX WRIGHT!!

I've played Peach and will probably pick it up soon. I'm afraid Kirby and Castlevania will be too hard for me (the first Castlevania was too hard for me, I kept falling )

I had and sold Mario 64... again too hard... loved the mini-games, though. Metroid Pinball is another I'll probably pick it up.

Thanks!

Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow is my favorite DS game by far. But from looking at the type of games that you like to play, you may find it a little difficult. I get confused by the rooms sometimes because they all look the same. So maybe rent it or borrow from a friend before purchasing if you are interested in it.

Sonic Rush is on sale at best buy for only $15. It's supposed to be up there with the best 2d sonic games.

I almost bought this tonight. Is it worth $15? I assume SRP is $20 so I could still get it for $15 anytime?

DEB!!! Nice to hear from you. I don't think you've posted here in ages. Still living in my town?

Of course, I have no suggestions, since I only have three games for the system (all of which you have). I've heard Sonic Rush is great, though and it is cheap now. Glad you like Meteos; I'm thinking of picking that one up.

edit: Don't forget Starfox comes out in a week and will be $24.99 at BB with GCC.

The first thing I thought about when I read your first sentence was Animal Crossing. How have you been? I've been over at Other mostly. I get out of gaming and into gaming, and out of gaming, etc. I decided to stick with portable gaming though, and since the PSP is gathering dust, the NDS it is

Meteos rules. Only game that has given me hand cramps.

Sonic is great to look at, but not very interesting to play in my opinion. It's probably worth $15, which is what I paid for it.

Most of the best games have been mentioned already, but I've been pleasantly surprised by a few bargain bin titles like:

Feel the Magic (great art and fun minigames)
Pac N' Roll (superfun trackball conrolling game)
World Series of Poker (a port of the PS2 game apparently)
Need for Speed Underground (not as good as Mario Kart, but a different vibe)
Puyo Pop Fever (single cart, multiplayer puzzler thats just SLIGHTLY inferior to the best ones)
Ultimate Spider-man (my kid loves this, but I hate it...very trial and error based)

Beyond that, alot of the best games on the DS are GBA games...many of which can be had on the cheap.

My favorite games for the DS are :

1) Castlevania DS - Great action game with a little bit of RPG thrown in. The touch screen stuff feels a bit tacked on, but it's not used much.
2) Mario & Luigi : Partners in Time - More action with a dash of RPG.
3) Ossu! Tatakae! Ouendan! - If you don't mind importing and like rhythm games, this game is a must have. You have to tap and move the stylus in beat with the songs. Everything's in Japanese, but there's little need for text and the story is laid out in comic book-style panels. A US version, Elite Beat Agents is coming out later later this year but the songs will be different.

I'll second that. I have it rented from Gamefly right now, and it is maybe the first Mario 2D I've been able to play with any success. Also it is very cute.
