Unless things have changed, those after discount prices aren't quite that low because Costco charges sales tax on the full amount and then deducts $5. Most other places take off coupons before tax.

There's nothing I want in this list. In my opinion, Costco only occasionally has good prices on DVDs. The last thing I bought was the Steve McQueen set in May. Before that Office Space SE in January. Before that some Brady Bunch seasons in October 2005. In other words, I buy very few DVDs from Costco each year because the great deals are rare. DDD gets most of my business during the 20% off sales. Sorry to digress..

I believe that it depends on what state that you live in regarding sales tax. The Costco stores in CT charge sales tax on the lower, coupon applied price. I also find many good deals at Costco, especially when they are running the passport coupons. Just last month, I picked up the Classic Comedy Collection and the Errol Flynn Signature Collection for just $20 each.

Just wanted to say thanks to gotrice and everyone who updates the Costco titles and sales... the store I go to RARELY posts the instant rebates, so I would never know about them if not for you guys! Also wanted to add that I saw Andy Griffith Show Season 6 for $25 today.
