Finding fictional works set in historical background?
What is the best way to find fictional titles regarding real life subjects/events/settings? I've been trying to find a good work of fiction on the Prague Summer of 1968 in Czechoslovakia, and google hasn't been much help. Does anybody have any pointers for me?

But the question was in general, although I had a specific subject in mind. I thought there might be a good source for this type of thing.

i have a similar question: i'll be traveling around croatia, hungary, romania and bulgaria this summer. i would like to read some works (or a work) from an author by some/one of those countries. i prefer fiction to non, but historical backdrop is ideal (i.e. going to russia = dostoevsky).
thanks in advance.
