Does alapage remove VAT?

It's been years since I've ordered anything from alapage and I can't seem to remember if they remove VAT from the price of the DVD for US buyers? Anyone know?

I checked my last order with them which was in January and they did remove VAT. Shipping to the U.S. for the 1 DVD was 12 Euro.
