Columbia House's TV Club just made Season 1 with mini-series available as an enrollment selection. You cannot beat the CH deal if you don't mind joining the club. Check out this link on how to maximize the deal-

Now is a great time to join because there is a "Buy 1 Get 1 Free" code to fulfill with and it doesn't expire until March 24. If you enroll now, then you should be approved in time to take advantage of this great deal. Check out the BOGO threads in the DVD Clubs forum for more details.

Amazon currently has Season 2.0 for around $31 with free shipping.

Season 1, Circuit City was selling it for $39 (it is selling for $49 at many other places).

I have become hooked on that series. It is terrific. If anyone sees any other good deals on Season 2.0 let me know because I am just about to pick it up. Thanks.

beware that "season 2.0" is really only half of season 2 - the first 10 episodes. The second 10 are just about to finish airing this week.

I recommend Battlestar Galactica as a blind buy to anyone. One of the very best science fiction series ever made, and trust me, I've watched a lot of sci-fi over my 30 years. However, I would wait on Season 2.0. Chances are pretty good, I suspect, that a complete 20 episode Season 2 box set is in the works and would probably be a better deal.

Although I agree with you, I don't think this will be anytime soon. First they'll release Season 2.5. Then they'll release a combined set much later...

Thanks, Sweet Baby James. I just enrolled and got Battlestar Galactica S1 and Nip/Tuck S2 for $9.95. Good that the S1 set of BG also includes the miniseries. I'll Be looking for the B1G1F deal to fulfill as soon as I'm approved.

I ignored BG when it first started because of memories of the awful original series. But I've heard so much about this one's greatness I figure I'm unlikely to go wrong with a blind buy.
