2 FREE DVDs: dance party & a superhero movie

Check it out:

Free "White Party & More" freebie pack from Clubthings.com, includes a free 45-minute visuals, performance, & music DVD for the 'White Party' (a gay dance music festival) and a free preview trailer DVD for 'Surge of Power', the "1st gay superhero movie".

I've gotten both and the White Party one is cool even if you aren't gay- lots of cool club scenes and live performances (including Kimberly Locke from American Idol) plus a really good dance music mix- and it is not explicit or anything so it shouldn't offend anyone. It also features some big name DJs like Junior Vasquez and Tony Moran, if you are into the club scene. The Surge of Power one is campy funny cause it stars lots of "has-been" stars like Lou Ferrigno (Hulk), Nichelle Nicols (Uhura on Star Trek), plus the actors who played Eddie Munster, Lois Lane, Wednesday from the Adams Family, Tabitha on Bewitched, Robot on Lost In Space, etc. I was kinda shocked how many cult actors they got for the one movie.

You also get a free party calendar and a bunch of promo flyers and stuff in the package.

Shipping is $2.95 if you don't order anything else or free if you order something. There are 2 coupons I know of: SPRINGBREAK for 12% off (no minimum) or SPRINGFORWARD for $10 off $60+.

Go here for the free DVDs:

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought "Super Twink" was the first gay superhero movie.

Is that a porno? I don't think the Surge of Power studio considers that a real movie hahaha.

I saw that surge of power dude in his blue suit at 2 conventions last year. He actually won 2nd place in a costume contest! But I had no idea it was a gay superhero movie. The movie definitely looked gay, but I had no idea the character was...

I'm really interested in this movie- must be the inner geek in me. It premieres here in L.A. in a couple of weeks which I understand is the nationwide premiere before it hits other cities. Were any of the celebrities from the movie at that convention too? (Of course, given it was Lt. Uhura and The Hulk, you'd probably assume they were just there promoting their more "classic" roles!)

I don't know if there was a panel for it or not. Lou Ferigno was there, but he's always there every year, to sell his autographs...

Just went to the L.A. premiere of "Surge of Power" on Friday night. Lots of cast members were there. Got to meet and sit near the fabulous and absolutely classy-looking Nichelle Nichols (Uhura from Star Trek), the colorful grandmotherish Noelle Neil (Lois Lane from Adventures of Superman), Bobby Trendy (Anna Nichole Show), and "Mr. Shake-Hands Guy" from Banzai (can't remember his actual name). The movie itself was much better than I expected. It wasn't really a gay movie, more a hilarious superhero/comic book movie with lots of funny pop culture references to other sci-fi & superhero movies and characters. I highly recommend the movie, and it was announced at the screening that Ariztical is releasing the DVD in a month or so.
