Bad experiences with amazon.ca customer service?
Hi, I was wondering if there are more people out there who share bad experiences with the amazon.ca customer service.
I previously ordered two DVD sets, and since one has yet to be released the order was still on hold. When I realized that the first set was already out of stock one week after the initial release date I got a bit worried and asked if my item had been held back - which they denied. So I complained and said that I was disappointed, because I had expected them to reserve the item. Now I got a reply that the item hasn't been released after all and that they have cancelled this part of my order. As it turns out, the DVD set is availabe again - but for an almost double price. I feel like I have been betrayed. It's true that they might have made a mistake in pricing at first, but to lie to me heads on...? I had my share of good experiences with amazon.ca before, but this one has put me off thoroughly. I asked them to reinstate my order - lets see if they try to fix the mess and can give me back my trust in them.
Corinna
Addendum: It seems that amazon.ca is really interested to make amends - they are sending me the DVD set in question for the original price. And even right away (without me having to wait for completion of the entire order) free off charge. Frankly, I am positively amazed. It seems that some of the people there do have a sense of fairness. Maybe it is just luck which person one gets to address.
