Missed it in theaters. It would definately be strange to listen to Domino's commentary.

I didn't think the movie deserved the overly harsh criticism the film received or the poor box office results. I thought it was a lot of fun and entertaining, with a superb and sexy performance from Keira Knightley.

I really enjoyed this film as well. I think it's destined to become a cult classic. I don't think Ed (Mickey Rourke) would approve of the Domino-centric DVD cover through.

No question I'll be blind buying this one.

I know it got mixed reviews, but I'm picking this up for the Richard Kelly script and on the strength of Man on Fire.

I knew, as soon as I saw this thread, that it wouldn't take long for someone to come along and crap in it. Thanks, Scott!

I LOVED this film.
Excellent performances by Keira, Mickey, and Mo'Nique and an excellent script by Kelly.
A must own. And with DTS-ES, too!!!

I like Keira, but from I've read, this film pretty much stinks. I'd rent it but there was no way I'd waste $7 on this flick in the theatre.

How is this a crap again? Please explain...
If the thread title was THIS AWESOME MOVIE DOMINO IS COMING 2/14!!!, then yes, I crapped.
But that wasn't the thread title, and comments good and bad are both welcome.
So thank YOU for firing before aiming.

Yeah, I've noticed that some people around here have very little tolerance for any negative comments made in neutrally-titled threads, such as this one. But that doesn't stop them from engaging in personal insults and then hiding behind the shield of calling you a troll or a threadcrapper. Doesn't really foster free thought or spirited opinion, does it?
Although I enjoyed DOMINO quite a bit, I don't mind the negative comments. Frankly, given the film's terrible mainstream reception, I completely expect it. But for those who haven't even seen it, I would hope that they would at least try giving the film a chance with a rental. It's not for everyone, that's for sure. But I think the film will eventually enjoy a very dedicated following.

I think it will find it's following on DVD as well.
And then they'll double dip. ;)

I was mildly interested in seeing this movie until the absolutely brutal reviews came pouring in, and I felt I would have to waste a lot of my cache (i.e. i'd have to go see some romantic comedies or other pap) convincing someone to go see this. I'll still likely rent it though.
I was worried they would put that "My name is Domino Harvey, and I am a Bounty Hunter" tagline on the cover, which for some reason just sounds 100% corny to me. Instead they somehow found a far worse tagline: "Heads you live...Tails you die" ? wtf?! Some idiot in Hollywood making $180,000 probably thinks this garbage up and considers himself a marketing genius. holy crap.

"Heads you live...Tails you die" is a line from the film, so it's not the work of some marketing genius but of writer Richard Kelly. But then again, "My name is Domino Harvey. I am a bounty hunter," is also a line from the film, so I guess you can't win.

It's definitley one of those kinds of movies. Reviewers that didn't like it bashed it hard, but people like Ebert who liked it gave it raves.

I loved this movie! Must have been hell to be the editor though. Is it possible that this movie has more edits/shots than Natural Born Killers? This has to be one of the most un-mainstream "mainstream" movies to come out in a long time. The Jerry Springer sequence had me pissing my pants! "Chinegro!" That cover is pretty terrible though. I original theatrical poster was pretty cool and had all the actors on the same level, but we all know that the "big head" of a star takes precedence on DVD.
