Inconceivable -- Series Premiere "Pilot" -- 09/23/05

Inconceivable
10:00 PM ET -NBC-
The doctors and staff of the Family Options Fertility Clinic are on a quest to help desperate couples give birth. But that doesn't mean they're not above their own occasional forays into sex, secrets and other assorted spectacles. And there, ladies and gentlemen, you have the premise for NBC's new drama "Inconceivable." The clinic is run by Drs. Malcolm Bowers (Jonathan Cake, "Empire") and Nora Campbell (Angie Harmon, "Law & Order") as well as Rachel Lu (Ming-Na, "ER") -- who, in tonight's premiere, tries to keep a couple from filing a lawsuit following a mistake with a surrogate birth. Joelle Carter and Mary Catherine Garrison also star; Alfre Woodard ("Desperate Housewives") guests as staff psychologist Lydia Crawford.

Boomtown, Medical Investigation and L&O Trial by Jury were casualties of this timeslot. What makes NBC think a show about a fertility clinic will do any better?

Well, those shows were all serious shows. This isn't supposed to be one, right?

meh

Some of it was just stupid, like the guy who believes they shouldn't be doing it yet continues to work there and the storage of the sperm at the end with the easy peel label.

pretty dull show.. as I said in some other thread, I'm not sure who this show is aimed at nor why they think it's a friday night show..

Not sure women want to watch a show about other women who can't have babies ... As a guy I'm 99% sure few men want to watch a show where the main drama issue is if a woman is pregnant or not. They had a pool scene with a bunch of pregnant women running around.. Errrrrrrrr yeah maybe if it's your wife it's "great" but other then that I don't think pregnant chicks are hot looking...

this was like watching nip/tuck with at all the interesting stuff that makes nip/tuck good.. Drag this show behind the barn, kill it and throw in on the pile next to Head Cases and all the other shows that will be canned over the next few weeks/months..
