Does Movie Gallery Buy Used Dvds?

Does Movie Gallery take in tradeins like Blockbuster? If so, how much do they give as a minimum?

Thanks,

This isn't really a bargain, and should probably be moved to the Store forum.

I have never personally asked, but I can tell you, I've never seen signs. And when Blockbuster had their trade-in offers established, they were posted all over the store.

I was going to say I always see signs. I asked them a month or so ago if it is a set rate for discs or based on the title. It is a set rate and something ridiculous, like $3 each.

Huh, must be a new thing MG started in the last year or so, as they never took trade-ins before.

It depends on your store. There are several different programs that are being tested so it really just depends on the store near. Most stores aren't doing it at the moment, but that could change at anytime (especially with Hollywood Vidoe now testing programs as well)

According to one store, Hollywood Video plans to have their trade-in program in operation by this fall.

Hopefully, they will have some generous trade offers much like Blockbuster did in the early days!
