It certainly seems that GL got caught up in the CGI thing over a good story and hasn't really faced the fact that the story has got to be good as well. But then, I have kind of seen eps 1-3 (at least the first two, so far) as just big advertisements for his studio.

It sort of upset me that he referred to Star Wars as a "30 year detour" in his life and career. He doesn't seem to understand how blessed he was to have fallen into all this.

I seriously only stared at his neck the entire time...he is apparently thin too: the far camera shots revealed a very small frame...wow his neck is huge. I also have a question, does he have any natural children, because I remember seeing a little baby he was playing with on the Star Wars Trilogy DVD featurette (when he was filming RotJ)

On the other hand, I don't really see why Lucas needs to say his films have been so awful. Maybe in retrospect, but he's got a film coming out soon and there's no need to be bagging on his films publically until the dust settles. And even if he does do that, these films aren't the universally hated disasters some might want to believe. I certainly don't think these films have been complete failures.
