Will they do it early or later?

Seeing as how it's a hot item right now, I doubt they'll do that right off the bat.

Was their anything new here? George Lucas CGI's the shit out of things. Surprise! Seemed like a 15 min filler for people that have never seen Star Wars.

I wonder if his throat was the influence for Dexter Jettster:

It certainly seems that GL got caught up in the CGI thing over a good story and hasn't really faced the fact that the story has got to be good as well. But then, I have kind of seen eps 1-3 (at least the first two, so far) as just big advertisements for his studio.

It sort of upset me that he referred to Star Wars as a "30 year detour" in his life and career. He doesn't seem to understand how blessed he was to have fallen into all this.

I seriously only stared at his neck the entire time...he is apparently thin too: the far camera shots revealed a very small frame...wow his neck is huge. I also have a question, does he have any natural children, because I remember seeing a little baby he was playing with on the Star Wars Trilogy DVD featurette (when he was filming RotJ)

Don't worry. His kids (or whatever exec gets controlling rights to Star Wars)will go "Berman and Braga" on his beloved franchise after his death once they realize how much money there is to be made.

Oh, they'll get made. It's just a question of when and by who. Pretty sure it won't be Lucas. I honestly think he made the last three as much as out of a sense of obligation as anything. And the money doesn't hurt. But he's done with them. You can just tell he's had his fill, money or no money. However, there's just too much money being left on the table for the studios not to pursue it after his passing. They will get made but I could be a grandfather by the time they come out (I'm 33 now with no kids ).

To be honest, I think Lucas' story has been quite good (as have been the effects). It's the acting and and dialogue that has bugged me the most, but his overall story for the prequels has been, imo, quite good. It's execution has some flaws but the overall story I think is good stuff.

On the other hand, I don't really see why Lucas needs to say his films have been so awful. Maybe in retrospect, but he's got a film coming out soon and there's no need to be bagging on his films publically until the dust settles. And even if he does do that, these films aren't the universally hated disasters some might want to believe. I certainly don't think these films have been complete failures.
