Looking for the name of a movie (slapstick comedy)
OK, for months I have been trying to figure out the name of a comedy that was a spoof of thrillers.
I only remember two scene bits: one has a character (the killer?) breathing VERY heavily in the dark, and another has the same character stepping on gum.
I know, not much here to describe the film, but hopefully someone will bite.

The killer was called The Breather. He made prank calls breathing heavily into the phone. He was going up the stairs in one scene to kill a couple by using a paper clip and he steps in a big wad of gum on the stairs.

I loved the bit where the guy comes out and explains about how what it takes to make a film R-rated.
