Not positive, but I believe that it's the same as the 3-disk set issued (and available) in Canada:

I have the Canadian version. Loved the movie, so I wanted to get the special collector's version. I couldn't find it on ebay. Oh well.

You'd have to find the French 3-disc set used (and Amazon France have a couple available), but the 4-disc Ultimate Edition is still available . As far as I know best sound and picture available (and beautiful packaging), but no English subtitles.

Try this site. It's still avalible and their delivery was good. Compared to amazon, this might be the way to go. It's an excellent version.

Edit: Romero beat me to it. I need to schroll slower....anyway it really is an excellent set. The documetaries really make it worth it. Very in depth.

DVDsoon is one of the slowest retailers ever, if they don't have the title on hand. They don't actually show valid stock info, so you might be in limbo for a month before you even know if you can get what you ordered.

I dont think this is the collector's set. I have the 3 disk Canadian version. I was looking for the special French collector's set.

From what I read in previous threads, the French 3-Disc set (an possibly the UE) have the best picture quality. The only issue is it does not carry any english subs.

From what I read around here when it came out the US version has better pic quality than the French-Canadian version. FWIW.
