It's the old Rankin-Bass films. Frosty the Snowman, Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer, and Santa Claus is Coming to Town (and some other stuff as well, Little Drummer Boy on the Santa Claus disc comes to mind). We watched Santa Claus last night. We weren't critically viewing it at all, but it didn't look or sound bad (nothing that really stood out, but nothing horrible either). Definitely adequate, possibly better from a transfer/quality perspective. As far as the films, something tells me that if you have childhood memories of them, they're great, if not, well, they're not so great. My wife loves em, I'd prefer just about anything else. YMMV, of course.
Nice packaging, though. And a great deal at Costco for $16.99 with the coupon. I've been putting off buying it for 2 years since it started out around $40-50 or so.
