Scrubs - Renewed until 2006
http://www.comingsoon.net/news.php?id=4748
NBC and Touchstone Television have reached a new license fee agreement to keep hit comedy Scrubs on the air for at least two more seasons, reports Variety. Before this new deal was made, NBC had one more year remaining on its deal with Touchstone.
Scrubs is now safe until May 2006. The show has been moved around NBC's schedule many times during its three-year run but has proven to be a consistent audience draw. When it aired after Frasier this season, it held on to all of its lead-in or even grew a bit.
Zach Braff stars in the hospital-set ensemble comedy, which was created by Bill Lawrence, who also serves as executive producer.

Whew. Great news. I must say I was a bit worried about this show's future considering how much its time spot has been jostled around. I almost thought that the show would not survive "The Donald."

When it was on (was it before or after Will and Grace?) Thursdays this year it actually had a bigger audience than Will and Grace when I was looking at the TV ratings.

NBC had no choice but to renew this show given the departure of their mainstays (Friends and Frasier). I do hope that Scrubs gets situated on Thursday night and stays there!

Thank you NBC. They actually have a pretty decent track record for keeping good shows. Why they never tried moving Freaks and Geeks to a different night is beyond me, but I know Cheers and News Radio wouldn't have lasted very long on any other network.

Well Friday and Saturday may as well be the same night. Saturday may be the only one worse than Friday which I think was the night it was on at the end. I caught onto it late because the concept turned me off.

I beleive NBC moved Freaks 3 times (Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays). They moved it WAY to much as I remember.

By far, one of the best comedies on TV. This, along with Arrested Development (maybe) coming back, is starting to restore my faith in TV execs......PSYCH!
(Sorry someone send me one of those stupid 80s kids lists, and it mentioned ending sentences with either "Not!" or "Psych!")
