That's suckee. The Dead Milkmen were one of my favorite bands when I was younger.

One of our local alternative stations (KEXP in Seattle) announced the news this afternoon and played some of their songs. The DJ sounded like she was choking up a bit when she announced it.

A senseless death like this forces you ask yourself some serious questions.

Questions like: “Did you ever go to eat a pork sausage and find that it's got hairs growing all over it?"

Seriously, though, this is some very saddening news. It seems like the Milkmen were on the verge of a pseudo-resurgence, with the recent Ryko CD and DVD releases. But if Dave's physical condition had detriorated to the point he couldn't play anymore, it might all appear irrelevant.

Let's drink a glass of bleach in remembrance...

Horrible news

He will be dearly missed. I would try to be witty with my post, but I can't

RIP Dave
