A little disapointed w/SNL: Best of Eddie Murphy

I've had the original VHS of this since forever and just picked up the DVD yesterday. I enjoyed the disc and there were some sketches on it that weren't on the tape, but the one thing I was a little upset with was that a couple of my favorite Eddie bits were cut...

The ones that came to mind were "Jazz Riffs", "Velvet Jones Love Books", "Kill The White People Talent Show", and "Propeil's Galactic Prophilactic Infomercial".

Anyway, that's just me venting...

Thanks for the info. I wanted this DVD, and I figured it would have everything from the video. I think the Reggae talent show one is a classic, and that's a shame it is not there.

Oh well. I'll keep my VHS then.

Did the old/original release DVD come with those sketches?

I know this is a re-release with added 'Bonus Footage'. Who knows, they may have cut some stuff ...

I never saw the original DVD release. But there were other's cut then just the one's I mentioned... One being "James Brown is ANNIE".

The bonus sketch on this disc is "Focus on Film w/Ron Howard" (Oppie Cunnigham!) which was on the original tape.

There was a whole other segment added to the "Buckweat Shooting" that wasn't on the original VHS. They went into details about his killer and made a Oswald-like skit out of it.

Plus a Gumby skit and a few others.

Like I said all-in-all I enjoyed the disc. But would have really liked those cut sketches to be there.
