I liked Sprawl Mart [Jaclyn Smith has her own line of axheads!] and the DVD gag. I was kinda surprised Marge actually liked the gift Homer got her, and the dependence on a new character [the hunter] was somewhat odd. Plus, there didn't seem to be a subplot. The ending was somewhat abrupt also.
However, any Simpsons is good Simpsons, and I pretty much enjoyed this episode. I think I liked it better as a whole than last week's episode, but last week's had more opportunity for visual gags, whereas this one was more plot/character oriented [which I don't think is a bad thing.]

I have to admit, this episode had me rolling on several occasions. Best episode this season and one of the better ones from the last few.
Was this the second time this season we've heard the Mexican hat dance on the show, or am I smoking way too much crack?

I'm glad they finally remembered Patty and Selma. Although they're not all that great of characters, they haven't been around much in the last few seasons.

I liked how Homer was mocked by the entire town for behaving exactly as any of them might when attacked by a bear. That was a refreshing change from the "Homer does something stupid" plotlines.
