I've done a little online research before coming here because I can't find the answer. Is the version of "Spirited Away" in the 3 pack the same as buying it separate? Meaning, are both 2 discs?

Yes, they are the same version. There is no "official" 3-pack. It is just the retailers offering a bundled set of the individual movies.

Best Buy is giving away Princess Mononoke is you buy the 3-pack, look for it.

Best buy is actually giving away mononoke if you just buy the three others, you don't have to get the bundle pack.. though it's the same thing.

also, theirs suppose to be a coupon on the disc itself that gives you four bucks when you buy another disney title i believe.

GREAT! (in my most sarcastic tone). I just bought the freakin' thing two weeks ago. Having just seen it for the first time and wanted it for my own.
