EA Sports on GC
Theres an article on IGN that states that EA is committed to bringing 20(?) of its sports titles to Gamecube over the next 12 months. I thought that EA had abandoned the Cube for most of its sports titles, but now it looks like all of them are coming WITH connectivity to their GBA releases. Anyone have any other info on this besides the vague press release?

EA has been dropping GC prices and I was afraid it was because they were abandoning it for larger markets, but myabe it was to get people thinking about sports on the Cube. Anyways, good news for Cube fans. Having all the systems all my EA sports games go to cheapest version except sports, then it has to be Xbox or GC for four players.
I noticed Nascar and NCAA football are both significantly cheaper on the Cube. Target had MOH for 19.99 last week also and that was 30 bucks cheaper than it was on the other two systems.
Nascar 2003 19.99 almost everywhere
NCAA Football 2003 9.99 at least at mediaplay.com/samgoody.com

I think with Sega backing out on the Cube, EA decided to stay. They never said they were completely stopping EA sports titles, just cutting it back to the major games like Madden. I think you will see the Cube getting limited runs of sports titles though. They might make a million for PS2, but only 50,000 or less (maybe even 10,000) for the GameCube. The sales of the 2003 titles will dictate it.
GameCube owners that want sports titles should probably not expect them to be as easy to find as for the PS2.

I've seen more of an update. The 20 games EA announced for 2003 includes all EA titles. Regular, Big, and sports. There are at least three sports titles coming in 2003 for the Cube and its three of EAs best games.
Madden 2004, FIFA 2004, and Tiger Woods 2004 are all confirmed for the GameCube and will have some kind of extra features for use with the Game Boy Advance Link Cable.
So Cube owners still have some sports game to look forward to this year.
